Header Analyzer

Paste email headers to see the delivery path, delays and SPF / DKIM / DMARC results.

About the Header Analyzer

Email headers record every server a message passed through, with timestamps, plus the authentication results the receiver calculated. The analyzer turns that raw text into a clear timeline and highlights slow hops and failed checks.

To get headers: in Gmail open the message and choose Show original; in Outlook open File → Properties → Internet headers; in Apple Mail choose View → Message → All Headers.

How to get email headers

Gmail: open the message → ⋮ → Show original. Outlook: File → Properties → Internet headers. Apple Mail: View → Message → All Headers. Paste the complete original to let us verify DKIM signatures too.

Frequently asked questions

How do I read email headers?

Read the Received lines from bottom to top: the bottom one is where the message started. Authentication-Results shows whether SPF, DKIM and DMARC passed.

Why was my email delayed?

The timeline shows the time spent at each hop. Large gaps usually point to greylisting, queueing at the sender or filtering at the receiver.

Is it safe to paste headers?

Headers contain addresses and server names but not the message body. They are processed to build your report and are not shared.
